1. The service
AlienReel analyzes public URLs from supported sources and helps you receive a media format or temporarily prepare video or audio for delivery. Support varies by source and may change when third-party platforms change. AlienReel is not a permanent media library.
2. Your rights and responsibility
You may use AlienReel only for content you own or are authorized by law or the rights holder to download. You are responsible for checking copyright, license, contractual, privacy, and platform rules that apply to your use.
3. Prohibited use
- Do not download content without the necessary rights or permission.
- Do not bypass DRM, authentication, access controls, paywalls, or geographic restrictions.
- Do not use the service to access private networks, attack systems, distribute malware, or violate law.
- Do not overload, scrape, automate account creation, share credentials to evade allowances, or interfere with the service or its safeguards.
4. Accounts and API access
You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and API keys. API keys are confidential and may be limited, rotated, or revoked. Account and API usage share the allowances associated with the applicable plan unless AlienReel states otherwise.
5. Plans, passes and allowances
AlienReel may apply download-count, bandwidth, quality, file-size, duration, concurrency, and API limits. Preparing a file may consume an allowance even if you later choose not to complete the browser download, because source bandwidth and processing may already have been used. One-time passes and subscription allowances are subject to the limits displayed at purchase.
6. Paid services
When paid plans or passes are enabled, prices and included allowances are shown before purchase. Recurring subscriptions continue until canceled according to the checkout terms. Payment processing is handled by the configured payment provider. Refunds, chargebacks, taxes, and cancellation rules may depend on the payment method and applicable law.
7. Availability and changes
We may change limits, prices, plan contents, or source support as infrastructure costs and third-party platforms change. Active paid periods will be handled in accordance with the terms shown at purchase and applicable law. We may suspend access when a platform becomes incompatible, requires authentication, or creates legal, security, fraud, or infrastructure risk.
8. Warranty and liability
The service is provided on an “as available” basis without a promise that every URL or format will work. To the extent allowed by law, AlienCat Software is not liable for third-party content, a user’s unauthorized use, source platform changes, or indirect losses caused by use or unavailability of the service.
9. Enforcement and updates
Access may be limited or terminated for misuse, abuse, fraud, chargebacks, or attempts to evade technical or commercial limits. These terms may be updated as the product evolves. Material changes will be identified by a new effective date.
